Car Parking at The Grove
We are aware of a report on WalesOnline with a number of inaccuracies and would like to provide some reassurance to our patients.
We are proud to be able to offer free onsite parking to our patients and the introduction of carpark management has increased the availability of free space for our patients.
Please be assured that if you visit the surgery and enter your car registration into the screen next to reception, you will not receive a parking fine, regardless of how long your appointment takes.
We can confirm that no-one who has entered their details into the parking registration screen, has been issued with a parking fine due to their appointment overrunning.
The article also reported that you need to enter your car registration when ‘only calling to collect a prescription’. Please be assured that there has always been a 15-minute grace period agreed with the parking firm to enable patients’ short visits for things such as collecting prescriptions.
Finally, it was also reported that anyone without a smart phone would have to pay a small charge. This is not true, patients do not need a smart phone to use the car park, you simply add your registration to the screen next to the reception desk and our reception staff will be happy to help if needed.
